Shaping Tomorrow,
Through a Youth Lens
YOUTH-LENS empowers young people across Albania, Kosovo, and Montenegro to navigate the digital world with confidence. Through media literacy training, civic engagement bootcamps, and a free online learning platform, we equip youth aged 16–30 — especially those from rural, disadvantaged, and minority backgrounds — with the skills to spot misinformation, make their voices heard, and shape the decisions that affect their lives
Driven by Purpose
Empowering the next generation of changemakers and leaders.
Why Youth-Lens Matters
Young people aged 16–30 in the Western Balkans—especially rural, socio-economically disadvantaged, and ethnic-minority youth in Albania, Kosovo, and Montenegro—face a widening digital divide, exposure to misinformation, and few structured chances to engage in democratic life. YOUTH-LENS equips them with media literacy, digital skills, and civic engagement tools so they can navigate the online world responsibly, combat misinformation, and have their voices heard by decision-makers. By strengthening both youth and the organizations that serve them, the project builds a digitally literate, civically active generation and lasting regional cooperation.
Innovation
We pair hands-on media literacy training with a purpose-built misinformation detection tool — letting young people check a headline's credibility in seconds and learn why it holds up, or doesn't.
Inclusivity
We reach the young people usually left out — rural, socio-economically disadvantaged, and ethnic-minority youth — with materials in local languages, mobile-friendly access, and fully funded participation so cost is never the barrier.
